Your Future
Contrary to popular belief, you can know your eternal future. As the old saying goes, “If you don’t know where you are going, you’re liable to end up some place else.” Likewise it is with your eternity…you can know for sure where you will go after you die.
What if today was your last day? Where would you go? What if there is a heaven and hell? What if we all had to stand in front of God after our death. Where will you spend eternity? If God were to judge us by the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:1-17), would you be innocent or guilty? Stealing anything or telling just one lie in your lifetime means that you have broken the 8th and 9th commandments. Looking upon another with lust breaks the 7th commandment. The Bible says that all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8) and that no thief, fornicator, or adulterer will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
The price for our sins must be paid: death is the wages of our sin (Romans 6:23). We are all guilty and the place we will go is hell for all eternity (Revelation 20:11-15 ). However, the guilty verdict can be changed to NOT GUILTY… What if someone paid for your sins, and you would be forgiven? What would you be willing to do for that person? That person is JESUS CHRIST (John 14:5-6; Acts 4:12). He died for you. All you have to do is repent (turn from your sins and turn to God) and trust him ALONE to save you. You can pray right now and ask God to forgive all your sin and receive Jesus Christ as your sin-bearer. You can become a follower of Jesus Christ today (2 Corinthians 6:2). This is a very serious and life changing decision, you must be willing to count the cost (Luke 14:27-29).
Just speak to God right now in a simple and sincere prayer of faith:
Dear God, I know I am a sinner, living in violation of you, and need forgiveness. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died on the cross to pay the price for my sins. I believe Jesus rose from the dead, defeating sin and death according to the scriptures. I receive Christ as my personal sin-bearer and Saviour. God save me. Amen.
If you have trusted Jesus as your Saviour, you have just begun a wonderful new life with Him.
